Thirsty Turtle Destroyed!

The city of Altair is usually a tame place, the residents there are content and quiet.  The port is busy, taking in visiting ships all the time, more and more on a daily basis.  Still, however, the city officials there manage to keep the peace and most of the businesses from Draco Myst find a good solid home there.  This relative peace was shattered two nights ago, however, when one of those businesses nearly burnt to the ground.

The Thirsty Turtle, located just east of the marketplace, was attacked and set on fire.  Numerous bodies were pulled from the building as the townspeople fought to put out the blaze.  All the bodies had been cut or beat to death, according to one source.  That bespeaks of premeditation.  And murder.



The day after the fire, there were many signs posted all over town.  A hefty reward is being offered for any information on the destruction of the Thirsty Turtle.  The tidy sum being offered is five hundred coins, no small change in anyone's pocket.  This is the most coinage ever offered as a reward on Draco Myst.  We caught up with Sul'eta Garess, the mayor of Altair and this is what she had to say.

"I hope the bastards that did it come back to my town and try it again.  We've doubled our watch in the evening and have put in a request to the Sovereigns for more men to run an extra shift.  The people of Altair are safe, have no worries."
